Today was a fairly interesting day as I began the stages of revamping my blog. This evening, I was scrolling along my twitter feed when I came across this tweet

The scene was very familiar. Your moment to shine. The moment you have been waiting for...just to be destroyed by a tough crowd. I scrolled down a few tweets of this post and was relatively surprised that so many people do not remember some of the success stories that came from being booed off stages dating back to Apollo Theater.

They always forget where the greats started.

The artist pictured above is singer RAVYN WO7F, is a superstar in the making. Besides gaming and fatherhood, his music is what pushes him to share with us his concepts and ideas. He is a triple threat from songwriting to harmonica playing and you can sense his passion and love for the craft.

Based on this stage performance, I was happy to see that he didn't allow the crowd to knock him off his game. He remained professional and more importantly, did not allow the trolls to phase him. Well, in this case, a Poop emoji

I really enjoyed the feedback from some of the viewers because even they couldn't understand why he was being heckled so hard.

This is exactly why you can't go with what crowds are saying all the time. It leads me to believe that this generation has become so oversaturated with being desensitized and predictable that they truly did not give this man a chance.

So, here I am. Helping him reclaim his time because he is truly an amazing voice that needs to be heard.

I am a hard working black woman in the United States of America coming from a nightmare career as Receptionist, Legal Assistant and as well as Car Saleswoman. I guess you can say, I have always been in a male dominated and driven society down to my choices in careers.

I am used to the intimidation that many men have felt upon me gracing their presence in the workplace and in the music business in general. I am not surprised nor do I get my feelings hurt because of this said intimidation. I was always taught that to be INTIMIDATED it means you lack confidence in yourself and although this is certainly a personal problem, it is not MY problem.

A couple of days ago, your handlers, Big Trill, DaBlock365 and Uncle Murda had you issue a public apology for a story that even Freddie Gibbs shared to his social media because of his legitimate concern for the Tag An Artist scam that is sweeping the pockets of many independent artists during the pandemic.

You indicated in your blog that I was "chasing clout". We understand that you are a "Hip Hop Blog" and need to use terms to seem relatable to the youth who clearly isn't checking for your page. I ran an analytical search for your website and I have a couple of questions.

We are in a mobile device world. Please explain to the public why the majority of your traffic (82%) is coming a DESKTOP. Typically this is botted behavior. Social media (ie when you share your article to social media) is at a meager 2.18%. No one is visiting your site via mail and you have very low referrals. There is no way you have organically reached 128K in site visits. Here's why.

The AVERAGE person actually visits your website for 1 minute and then leaves. Most bots visit a page for 45 seconds to one minute. According to google,

Bounce rate is the percentage of single-engagement visits to your site. That means, what Google Analytics is actually tracking is the number of visitors who come to your page and leave without viewing any other page on your website or engaging with your page in any meaningful way (more on that in a previous chapter).

In which my statement is deemed fact because nobody is looking at anything on your site. It's just a VISIT. So you are lying to advertisers, you are lying to individuals who are investing into their stories being featured on your site. Big mistake.

Lets continue:

Again, you are getting the majority of your traffic via DESKTOP. I am almost 100% sure this is a lie. Mobile traffic is minuscule. I guess you haven't invested properly into SEO marketing because there is no reason for your mobile traffic to be so low, but we know why.

Now, in the matter of "chasing clout" lets explore what clout is first.

According to Urban Dictionary,

is defined as "feeding off the popularity of others." Well, Big Trill has to feed off the popularity of Sauce Walka as a "manager" of his because if you would have titled your article

"Big Trill and Major Hip Hop Artists Present Amazing Unique Opportunity Through The Power of Promotion for Unsigned Artists"

And not "Sauce Walka Manager"...and let me emphasis the grammatical error which also destroy's your credibility as a blogger. It's Sauce Walka's (with an s) manager.

You could of also said " ...Presents an Amazing and Unique Opportunity WITH the Power of Promotion for Independent Artists."

"...Major Hip-Hop Artists Are Presenting Unique Opportunities with the Power of Promotion for Independent Artists during a Pandemic"

See, those are attention grabbing titles, grammatically correct yet still LIES.

As an independent artist, the term UNSIGNED is ridiculous in 2020. We don't want to be enslaved in record deals like these artists you are dick riding so heavy. The same artists who are scrambling and looking for their next victim to up sell a BULLSHIT mixtape. We don't listen to mixtapes. We listen to PLAYLISTS.

You are still stuck with this OLD HEAD mentality of music discovery and I can tell you that I have not, within the last 7 years, discovered an artist off a DatPiff mixtape or Top Mixtapes tape. A spotify playlist, Soundcloud, but NEVER these outdated sources of Mp3s.

We know that THIS era is coming to an end being that Record Labels have begun their suits against these fake tapes, Spinrilla being the first to be taken down. (Read article here)

I PERSONALLY took the liberty of sending DatPiff and Top Mixtapes to be the next to be reviewed for Piracy (aww sorry Big Trill, that might cut into your pockets)

The bottom line is DO NOT FUCK WITH ME.

I own hundreds of dollars worth of software that can and will crawl your website and send data back to your advertisers to let them know they are investing into a website with literally fake traffic. I will make sure to it that you will regret coming across my business over here at MINX Radio.

I know ALOT and that alone should scare you or anybody who thinks that I cannot destroy their infrastructure with just one telegram visit. Again, DO NOT FUCK WITH ME.

See, this is MY website, I own this bitch. You don't own your shit. You can pay every single blog you'd like to send out a narrative that fits your crimes, but I do humbly advise that you remove my business name from your article.

I appreciate the FREE PRESS but we pay for all of our advertising down to the merch our supporters wear to let MINX Radio become a NEW household name for entertainment, news and education.

Perhaps you should take a course in writing, journalism and overall social media etiquette.

What's The Purpose of a Verification Badge If We Are STILL Getting Scammed on Social Media?

In 2009, Twitter became the first social network that introduced us to this ungodly badge that rules our lives. To be "verified" meant you were the real deal. You were either rich, famous, or just a popular figure to the public where social media needed to avoid situations of being able to authenticate someone for rending services, even if it were music, commerce or entertainment.

For as long as I have been an adult, I am 34 years old, I have been around the inception of Social Media. We began in AOL or Yahoo! chatrooms and congregated in our buddy lists. I think coming up with an away message was the most stressful thing to do as a teen. We started out on the computer and would jazz up our profiles with crazy lettering and writing as the girls, and boys, well, they just wrote dirty jokes or kept it simple.

I've gone from PC to laptop to cellphone, my favorite being the T-Mobile Sidekick LX, we navigated to digital communication that landed us into creating our first Twitter accounts because Blackberry's were becoming the IT thing.

When they rolled out the verification on "famous peoples" account, to be retweeted or mentioned by these accounts meant that you had the juice. Nobody really thought to themselves that "damn, I wish I had blue check mark". We only really cared about building our following.

It wasn't until 2016 where Twitter came up with a bright idea one day to allow anybody to get the "blue check". This would mean that you were somebody important. Instead of engaging with our followers and just building on great ideas, using our platforms to speak our mind to those who were willing to receive it, it became "lets buy followers" and "lets buy likes" so that they could get that "blue check".

Years went by and this became the only topic of discussion across platforms. You're nobody because you don't have a blue check.

Social media used to be a place where people could digitally socialize and share content. It is now a cesspool of people willing to do anything for a following and the people with verification badges are no different from a cop who turns on their sirens just to avoid a traffic light.

What is the point of a verification badge? Everyone runs businesses, some people have a larger following than others, and celebrities don't manage their own accounts so technically, its not really them operating their pages. So, if a verification badge is supposed to be used as a tool for the general public to differentiate an impersonator from the real thing, how are there so many scams being committed online by accounts that are verified?

The year 2020 is the year we have seen it all down to a pandemic. But the real pandemic is the amount of cyber crimes being committed by celebrity accounts daily.

I read horror story after horror story about content creators paying for services such as influencer marketing and the influencer doesn't deliver. I consider influencer marketing a major scam.

These are people who have an inflated following, that charge to do something anybody can do freely which is to share a post. A fake cosign. Whatever. I think this is the most dumbest fad going on and here's why.

How do you guarantee something that involves free will? Likes and views are by choice. The fact that you promise that a person is going to gain a certain following by paying you HUNDREDS to post some shit is beyond belief. Posting something isn't promotion.

Promotion is where you literally take the time out of your greedy day to come up with a marketing plan for a post. Do the hashtags have reach? Are you urging your following to check something out. (I bet if it were Fashion Nova you would be giving us some Academy Award acting) Slamming your client with some analytics and shit, but yeah, that's not promo at all honey.

So, now, you have this HUGE and OBVIOUS scam going on with a company that literally shattered the trust of Independent Hip-Hop artists worldwide by using a verification badge during a PANDEMIC as a weapon. Deceiving their fans and giving them false hope of recognition for their craft, and placing them on inactive playlists with a low following.

There comes a point in life where you literally sit back and say, money truly is the root of all evil. To abuse your privilege and gain trust of people that supported you through your career, who literally got you to THIS point where you are living "the dream". It's a shame you didn't have your BUSINESS together where you have to exploit your own name for chump change.

Just eliminate the verification badge completely if it isn't going to tie any legal consequence of soliciting business and violating terms and conditions of other apps, like Spotify for instance who clearly states that they do not allow.

Saga continues. I just don't see the point in verifying anybody at this point because anybody can scam you, verified or not. You have companies that are running ads and they are a scam. Users warning others to not purchase from a company.

What exactly did you verify? Alot of these fake companies change their store id's monthly. They are just getting too clever. Do you verify that these companies have a business license? An LLC? Any form of certificate to prove that they are a legitimate business? It just makes no sense.

At what point do you realize people are tired of the fake shit. This is why I hang out in servers now...
